Frequently Asked Questions
1. What kind of readings do you offer?
I offer nurturing, compassionate intuitive readings in person, over the telephone, and via email (by request). Because the session is created in order to empower you, my suggested focus will always be you.--that is, we can spend our time taking an intensive look at how life events affect you, and how to choose or create choices that are better aligned with your needs or beliefs. I will need to suggest that you shift your thinking if you request an in-depth look at a third party who is not present for the duration of our session.
2. When can I schedule a reading?
Because I would like to invite you to prepare for your session prior to making the appointment--generally, I suggest that you request your reading for the next calendar day. (If you need an appointment sooner, then you are welcome to contact me directly.) When you are ready to schedule, you may do so by clicking Schedule Now.
3. Should I bring equipment if I come in person (a recorder, etc.)?
You are welcome to bring a tape recorder to your appointment, or simply bring a paper and pen. It may be helpful for you to record the information, so that you may refer to it later.
4. How should I prepare for the reading? / What should I ask?
Questions provide a clear energetic link between you (the querant) and me. I follow that energy to tap into the Infinite and learn more.
I invite you to make a list of questions that you would like to explore. The questions are intended to help you focus your intention. Please make your questions general. I'm not looking for information--you can tell me the story after our session, if you like. I just need the energy of the question in order to get started.
Following are some examples of good questions.
What is happening in my current romantic relationship with __________________ ?
What is contributing to the current state of my work environment?
When will my finances stabilize?
How does __________________________ feel about me?
5. Do you have a guarantee?
Yes! If, in the first five minutes, either you or I do not feel that we are making a connection, then we can cancel the reading. In that case, I would cheerfully refund your money.
6. What should I tell you about myself/my situation?
It will help to know your first name.
Let me know what you would like to focus on first.
If you have questions about a relationship of any sort (romantic, familial, platonic, work relationship, etc), then I need to hear the first name (or a nickname that you use often) of the person you're asking about.
Please don't tell me anything specific about your situation up front! It makes me question the information that I'm receiving, which pulls me out of the frequency.
7. Do you offer free sample readings? Would you answer just one question, to see if we are on the same wavelength?
I do not offer free samples of intuitive work. I would be delighted to answer your questions during an appointment. Click here to schedule.
8. Could I hire you to come to my private party or event?
I would love to be invited to your gathering! Call me, and let's talk about it. I charge $300 to attend an event up to three hours in duration.
9. Do you offer Tarot card readings?
YES! I currently offer a three-card Tarot reading by telephone or email.
I offer intuitive (rather than traditional) readings of the Tarot. Each card has a meaning, and each card relates to other cards in a reading. It's similar to the way that words have individual meanings, but then, when we use them in a sentence, the meanings of each word may shift.
10. What does this stuff mean, anyway?
Everyone has free will. A reading is like a snapshot of the most likely future, given the current circumstances. I tap into the energy around the most likely conditions to come. You could make a choice today that changes everything.
11. Can you "read" everybody?
No. Certainly, the request for a reading is the permission slip that allows me to check in with your energy...but even so, not everyone's energy is clear to me.
12. How often should I request a reading?
You might consider asking for a reading during these times:
--when you are at a crossroads
--when you feel stuck
--if you are struggling
--when you are about to make an important decision
--when you are trying to get clarity about what your choices are
--when major changes are taking place in your life
Remember, though: Readings are like buttercream frosting on the cake of life. The cake and frosting complement each other. It's important to keep them in balance. Although both readings and buttercream frosting are delicious, it's possible to have too much of either. I suggest that you schedule no more than sixty minutes of appointment time within a seven-day period.
13. Do you have an 800 number?
No. I don't have an 800 number. If you are located within the contiguous United States, then I will call you at the time of our appointment. If you live elsewhere, then let's talk about ways to connect.
14. Do you do medium readings? Can you contact my loved ones who have passed on?
NO. If you're looking for a medium, this or this is an excellent place to find one.
15. Why do you charge? This is spiritual work. You should give it away.
This ability is a spiritual responsibility that I have been charged to use responsibly in this lifetime. I find grocery stores, gas stations, electric companies and the like prefer to be paid in bank notes.
Bob Olson offers an essay exploring the many complex issues connected to this matter. You will find it here.
16. How do phone sessions work?
If you are requesting a phone session, then I will call you at the appointment time. (If your location is outside of the contiguous United States, then I will ask you to call me at our appointment time.)
Payment for phone sessions is required 24 hours in advance of the session (or immediately upon scheduling if you make the appointment less than 24 hours in advance of the session start time). Your payment is your confirmation.
I will hold your phone appointment for a ten-minute grace period after the scheduled start time. After the grace period, your appointment is forfeit and no monies will be refunded.
17. How will the charge for this session be listed on my statement?
Unless you request otherwise, the session will be listed as "consulting service".
18. How do I reserve an appointment?
Use the online scheduler on the "Make an Appointment" page, or send me an appointment request to schedule. Send a payment prior to your appointment in order to confirm your reserved time. Your payment is your confirmation.
19. What kind of random information goes here?
I am not fond of answering questions with 'yes' or 'no'. I can, although I really dislike doing it. Here's why: The powerful part of the answer is almost always located after the 'yes' or the 'no'. If you stop at the 'yes' or 'no', then you miss out on the good stuff, which is invariably the place where you can learn; where your spiritual growth can occur.
***This may or may not be worth mentioning, but just in case***
If you have been to someone's website or talked with someone who told you that there's a curse on you/dark cloud over your spirit/bad luck coming your way/evil spell cast over you, which they would be happy to lift/ shift to someone else/ stop your enemy from laying bad juju on you for $____(fill in the blank with a large number), don't go back there.
There's no curse.
There is no evil spell*.
It's a scam. Don't give that person any money.
Avoid all contact.
* except for the spell that Fox TV executives have apparently cast on the brilliant Joss Whedon. He creates an exemplary show, they cancel it for no good reason / at an arbitrary time, and then he goes back for more. Seriously...what's up with that?
